Is there still an ABC Kids World at Dreamworld?

The ABC Kids experiences were not scrapped, though. They were relocated into Kenny and Belinda’s Dreamland, the park’s dedicated young-family area, where they continue to run in 2027. So if you remember bringing older kids to ABC Kids World years ago, the characters and the gentle rides are still here for the next generation, just under a different roof and included with general park entry rather than sold as a separate ticket.

What ABC Kids rides can toddlers go on?

Kenny and Belinda’s Dreamland keeps four ABC Kids attractions running, all built for little ones:

• The Bananas in Pyjamas Carousel, a slow spinning ride with B1 and B2.
• The Humpty-Go-Round, a Play School-themed merry-go-round.
• The Play School Wheel, a low, gentle hot-air-balloon Ferris wheel.
• The Bananas in Pyjamas Fun Maze, a walk-through maze for toddlers.

Alongside the rides, B1, B2 and Rat in a Hat make daily character appearances through the area, which for most under-fives is the real highlight. Everything is included with your Dreamworld entry, so there is nothing extra to buy once you are inside. Guests keep mentioning how manageable this corner of the park is with a pram and a tired toddler, with shade, seating and a slow pace built in. The characters appear on a daily schedule posted at the park entrance, so it is worth checking the times on arrival and building your morning around them, since the photo spots with B1 and B2 draw a queue at least once a day.

How do we get to Dreamworld from St Tropez, and what does it cost?

Distance: about a 35 minute drive from St Tropez Holiday Apartments. Directions: head north on the M1 and take exit 54 for Coomera and Dreamworld. Hours: open daily from 10am, generally to 5pm; check the park calendar for extended school-holiday hours.

Dreamworld sells single-day tickets and annual passes online, and booking ahead is usually cheaper than paying at the gate. Entry covers everything inside, ABC Kids rides included, so a family can spend a full day without extra ride costs. There is plenty of on-site parking, and the whole park is pram-accessible. From our door the drive is straightforward up the motorway, and because everything else on a Surfers holiday sits within walking distance, a Dreamworld day is often the only time you will move the car all week. It stays free in our undercover park until then. Weekdays outside the Queensland school holidays are the quietest for shorter ride queues and easier parking, so shift your Dreamworld day midweek if your dates allow. Pack hats, sunscreen and a spare set of clothes for the water play, though there is plenty of food inside if you would rather travel light.

What else is there for young kids beyond the ABC Kids rides?

Plenty, which is why a Dreamworld day works even once the toddlers tire of the carousel. The wildlife precinct is a highlight for small children, with Tiger Island shows, koalas you can see up close and native animals throughout. Kenny and Belinda’s Dreamland has more gentle rides beyond the ABC Kids four, so there is enough to fill the morning before a shaded lunch. Bigger kids and braver parents have the rest of the park, from family coasters to the water rides, and the neighbouring WhiteWater World for a hot day. Plan the ABC Kids rides for first thing, when the characters are out and the queues are shortest, then work outwards from there.
