Tiger Cubs Dreamworld

by | Jan 5, 2016

Did you know that Dreamworld has two cute new residents? Less than two months ago the Gold Coast theme park welcomed two tiger cubs to the Dreamworld family.

Two adorable and healthy female tigers were born at Tiger Island on Sunday the 29 November 2015 and have already grown to 4.82kg and 4.57kg.  The sisters were the second litter born at Tiger Island last year, now joining brother Kai who was born on 29 July 2015. The three little tigers were born to nine-year-old mum Nika and eleven-year-old dad Raja.

Critically endangered, there are less than three thousand wild tigers left. The Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation is the largest zoological contributor to tiger conservation in the world. The young tigers are a vital addition to the park's interactive tiger program which is active in contributing to saving tigers in the wild.

The newborn tigers are planned to appear at Tiger Island from mid-January. Brother Kai can already be seen at the park daily.
