The Gold Coast’s list of events keeps growing with all the Christmassy vibes. If you’re looking to see what you can catch on your visit, here’s a list of some taking place in December.
White Christmas at Movie World
The Warner Bros. Movie World is a Gold Coast family attraction not to be missed, especially during particular seasons. They hold their annual Fright Nights during the Halloween season. However, during the holiday season, they have the White Christmas.
It is a fantastic event to attend if you have children. Every December, White Christmas has a variety of festivities, precincts, and rides to enjoy. And please do not miss the White Christmas Parade down Main Street. It’s the evening’s highlight, with the area coming alive with Christmas cheer, magical floats, and stunning lights. The White Christmas Precincts differ, but you can be sure that you will enjoy exploring them all.
Movie Under the Stars
Movie Under the Stars is a program on the Gold Coast. They will be releasing two Christmas films for the entire family to enjoy this December. The Polar Express will be at Lionel Perry Park on December 10.
This uplifting adventure is a beloved children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg. The Polar Express tells the tale of a young boy who sees a mysterious train stop outside his window on Christmas Eve and climbs aboard, heading to the North Pole.
On December 17, go to Broadwater Parklands to see The Grinch, as the grumpy but endearing green character plots to ruin Christmas for the Whoville village. The movie begins at 7 p.m., but doors open at 6 p.m. Pack a picnic or take advantage of the delicious food options available in the surrounding area.
Magical Christmas at SkyPoint
SkyPoint, which offers rewarding views of the Gold Coast, should be your go-to spot if you’re looking for an adventure climb or a simple dining experience. SkyPoint has a few tricks up its sleeve this holiday season.
Jason Gray and Rhett Morrow will host Magical Christmas at SkyPoint. The explosive performance will include spectacular juggling, levitation, incredible feats of balance, and mind-boggling stage illusions that will shock, stun, and amaze your children. Magical Christmas at SkyPoint is from December 17 to 23.
And if you’re already thinking about how to spend New Year’s Eve, consider celebrating 2023 on top of the Gold Coast. SkyPoint will be celebrating high in the sky with spectacular uninterrupted views and fireworks, all while enjoying delicious food, flowing drinks, and roaring live entertainment. Level 77 will be open from 7:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on December 31.
