Head along to celebrate the Lunar New YEar on Saturday the 4th of February at Gold Coast Chinatown. Free to attend, the event will feature live music and cultural entertainment, interactive worksops, screeing of Kung Fu Pand 3, pop up laneway bar, Asian-infused street food markets and a great fireworks display!
In an effort to reduce the amount of waste generated, the event will not be selling bottled water. However there will be free water refill stations available, so remember to bring your own bottle! It is estimated that close to 1000 plastic water bottles were diverted from landfill at the 2016 celebration.
To get to the event you can ride the GOld Coast Light Rail or self-drive with limited parking available at Mal Burke Car Park (corner Hize and Davenport Streets), Athol Patterson Car Park (near the Southport library) and Carey Park Car Park (Broadwater Parklands).
