It is the quiet counterpoint to the ocean: paddleboarders gliding out, dog walkers on the little river beach, and the first sun catching the high-rises across the water. There is a small sandy stretch and a scattering of benches, and the local rhythm here is slower and more suburban than the Esplanade. Come for the stillness, then loop back towards the beach for breakfast. It suits anyone who wants the morning without the surf.
